Peter Koch and his wife, Karen acquired Independent Radiator in 1994. Peter had already been working within the radiator industry for over 14 years; managing repair shops and owning a wholesale warehouse. He learned the operation of Independent Radiator directly from Morrie and Sol Zitlin, sons of the original owner.

     The plant is located about 35 miles northwest of Chicago, in the town of Algonquin, IL, near the beautiful Fox River.

     Tours of the plant have been given to various groups and car clubs interested in seeing how radiators are produced. If you have such an organization, please contact me.
